Whoa it's 1am now, i'm sitting here freshly showered, but somehow still smelling like Newton Food Centre. Haha!
Damn tired.
After all the weeks of not having as much as a single gathering with substantial friends, not considering the lecture/tutorial mates, suddenly there were 2 consecutive supper gatherings this week.
Yesterday night i finally tried the legendary Sheares chicken, with about half of Zai2, mostly those who stayed in hall. Initially i was ambivalently undecided about whether to go for supper then-chiong-last-bus or supper then-bunk-in-with-someone or dont go, so i smsed Amanda asking if she would take me in and hahaha surprisingly she was damn enthusiastic so i stayed in Temasek Hall yesterday night. It was a pleasant experience, but i am still certain i would still stay home not hall.
And the chicken was not bad lah. But i was feeling full, so maybe i should go try it again when i'm starving.
Then today:
8am Physics in Life Sciences. Omg recap-sec-sch-Chem lecture on atoms and isotopes and periodic table wth!
then Discussion for Physics project and lunch at Arts canteen.
12pm Psychology tutorial which ended 40min early so i went wandering around with Jean. (was from HC choir, but i only got to know her this year)
2pm Philosophy lecture with Santa guest lecturer. Interesting lecture, refreshing break from the usual lectures, but wahhh my philo paper still remains un-reviewed and un-improved. ARGHH BUT MUST PREPARE FOR CONSULTATION ON MONDAY!
After Philo i immediately rushed out of school and got onto 183 and slept. And overslept to interchange.
Sian.
Liwen came over to my house and we left for 7D Burger Shack supper at about 8.10pm. AND REACHED ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. ARGHH WTH according to IRIS 66 was gonna take 24min for next bus, so we took and changed 3 buses in total before arriving at Starbucks Coro at almost 9.20pm.
Only to find out that Burger Shack last order is at 9pm. Eventually ended up at Newton, but i think i can say things turned out well anyway, anyhow. :)
In a rare spark of hope and positivity and nothing's-gonna-get-me-down:
- for Political Science which i thought i was gonna flunk, i got a C+ (ok might be considered a flunk by other people's standards, but this is still an official pass)
- for Philosophy which fills me with a sense of wondrous helplessness, i also got a C+
- for Psychology which i thought i might not screw up, i slipped under the mean score and that is instinctively depressing because comparatively it means i suck :C
- for Sociology, i got a B for the assignment but i screwed up the recent test with horrible time management and didnt conclude my essay.
- i am still semi-CCA-less, in-as-good-as-out of NUS Skating Club
- Danny my favourite SWU senior has quit and i definitely will miss him having him around, and being able to depend on him to settle all situations... Haii. Well nothing lasts forever.
- Heartware First Lego League (FLL) Youth Planning Comm (YPC) first meeting starting next Tues. I dunno what's the position i eventually got, but i think this will be fun anyway. :)
- Audrey seems well in Edinburgh and finally received the Singapore Tourism Board postcard which i sent to her almost a month ago. Delayed apparently due to "insufficiently prepaid for air transmission" HAHAHA wahlau the postcard says free postage covered by STB what!?
- I am enjoying Phy in LS every Tues and Fri mornings with Shanti Shumin Jolenta and Yingqi, Psych with Shanti, Pol Sci with Jiinshiuan, Socio with Amanda and Huimei, Philo with Jean+Annabella&co who i got to know from Psych tutorial and subsequently the rest of their OG.
But this arrangement is ceasing in about 3 weeks' time and the whole tango starts again next sem.
- Then timely meet-up with 07S7D which refilled me with nice warm fuzzy feelings that friendships are ships that never sink HAHAHAHAHA.
Rather than thinking "I wonder how long more we can do this," let's think "See you there at the next meeting! DONT PANGSEH~"
- I am going to Bangkok next May with Sirui Xinli Gwen Jolenta and Liwen on Jetstar's $81.50 airfare. I think i am awesome HAHAHA. Hope everything works out! And hope Bangkok be peaceful and nice and have a thousand smiles.
Actually by next May, we would have completed year 1 of our uni education.
OMG THIS IS SCARY. S:C
But for now, thank you Life, for everything.
Happy Deepavali to all!
(wah it's already 2am but nvm YAY CAN SLEEP IN~ Shit man it's a bad thing to get through everyday thinking about the promise of sleep at the end of the day.)
