In another thread, he posted wholesale an inquiry email where this girl just innocently asked a few straightforward questions. Then he posted a separate reply -
"Some of your questions tell me that you need to be more focused during lectures. It is not the habit of your lecturers to repeat lecture materials post-delivery. Extensive repetition of the lecture material to individual undergraduate emails is to be discouraged particularly for modules with large enrollments. Lectures are often a means to instill interest in a particular topic, explore new information/ideas not covered in your textbook or provide live demonstrations of effects (not possible with printed media). And lecturers should be seen as facilitators of these processes (i.e., they are not walking textbooks).

A lack of understand for any lecture material should be followed by a careful reading of the main textbook (most answers to your questions can be found there) or seek alternative ways of explaining the same concepts in other introductory psychology textbooks. At an university level, much more independent problem solving is expected from undergraduates than what they are accustomed to. It is understandable that first years find this more traumatic than their seniors."
