My timetable.
That is actually a screenshot of the screenshot i took of Timetable Builder, and then edited to add sensible module titles next to the nonsense (at least to me now) module codes. This timetable was finally finalized last week, after balloting of tutorials and re-allocation.
Shit it man, this system is so ARGH-inducing, yet indispensible and also complains-immune because it's already the best they can do. ;_;
And also, i have absolutely no idea where are the exact locations for tutorials. ARGHHHH i hate the feeling of being in unfamiliar places.
Except for when i'm on holiday overseas or something.
Actually, maybe it's due that i should give my first semester in my first year in my first university some documentation.
Modules that i'm taking this sem:
1) (Dept) Philosophy - (Module title) Reason & Persuasion
2) Psychology - Introduction to Psychology
3) Sociology - Making sense of society
4) Political Science - Introduction to Politics
5) Physics (Science) [hurhur] - Physics in Life Sciences [this is my General Education Module, fulfilling the requirement of 1 Science GEM]
I was just looking through the lecture notes for Thursday's Socio lecture on "Power, Politics & the State" and got momentarily confused about whether SC1101E is Socio or Political Science. THE CONTENT OF LECTURE IS ALMOST 90% SIMILAR TO POL SCI'S FIRST LECTURE.
Ok i cant figure now if it's a good or bad thing that i'm taking seemingly "complementary" and related modules. Hopefully they can reinforce each other and i gain more perspectives and insights. Or i get thoroughly confused and screwed.
Like Psychology -> Socio.
Socio -> Pol Sci.
Psychology also a bit -> Philo.
And Philo <-> PHYSICS, definitely!!! (First lecture, first ppt was titled "WHAT IS LIFE?" HAHA)
Haha Charles Heisenberg even wrote a book "Physics & Philosophy"!
And honestly, i haven ponned a single lecture. Even with crazy 6h breaks. I still came back at 4pm for a 45min lecture. Was i crazy?!
Haii shit it. But uni is really very temptingly pon-able. Somehow, i'm still anchored to the conventional sec school/JC ways, where instinctively - i have a lesson on my timetable, i must attend it.
And then we discuss where moral sense comes from!!
Today's philo lecture was like... What's the point of philosophy? What's the point of discussing Plato and his various dialogues, eg Euthyphro (which we are currently doing)? Are we looking for answers? Or interesting non-answers? Which we may find through self-revelation, when we "think ourselves into the problem"?
Now what the hell does "thinking yourself into the problem" mean exactly?!?!
Actually i made another observation recently - shit man, how come all the essays (at least, Pol Sci & Philo, so far) ARE SO HORRIFICALLY REMINISCENT OF GP AQ~~~
1) list points coherently
2) analyze, support with evidence, evaluate
3) have a stand, make a good argument
At this point i dont know to swear by or at my GP tutor.
