WOW WEE.

It's over.

Too tired to write much, but wow:
1) I REALLY LOVE SINGAPORE
2) I REALLY LOVE BEING A SINGAPOREAN
3) I'M SO DAMN PROUD TO BE PART OF NDP09.

I actually felt a rush of emotions during the parade especially during the Girl Who Can Sing Very Well (SORRY I DUNNO YOUR NAME!) + Chen Wei Lian national day songs medley (I STILL KEEP HEARING IT IN MY HEAD!! Strangers when we first began~~ THIS IS WHERE, I WONT BE ALONE!!) and it was hair-raisingly nice watching the SOKA performance tonight.

Wow.

Liwen was smsing me about her VVVIP encounters today, and actually i was feeling rather envious and like "Aw damnit, why didnt i get to see/greet them!!!"

But then, it's ok - today i had a revelation, maybe valiant self-consolation.
I'm in Green sector, tending to the general general public. That wasnt a typo. Eg people in Orange (LIKE SHAN2) got tickets through civil service links, and of course Red are all the VIPs. Haha i think people in our sector were probably those who got their tickets by the luckier-than-tio-bay-pio balloting, so it was a very representative sample of the Singapore society. And today, VIPs or general public, we're all Singaporeans, here to enjoy NDP09 and to celebrate our nation's birthday.

And as compared to the leaders-of-our-country, tall wise and hey-actually-not-bad-looking ministerial characters, ok i think that the auntie who pretended to be deaf to our ushering of "HI, PLEASE MOVE ALL THE WAY IN! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!", the family who insisted to sit in the front and held up the rest of the queue, and the uncle who wanted to sit along the aisle coz he always needs to go to the toilet - i think we were more important there, then, to them. :)
