HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA SO TODAY, I SPENT ABOUT A WHOLE DAY OUT, JUST TO ARRANGE MY SCHEDULE TO ATTEND THE NDP REHEARSAL (which was supposedly,
NDP EXCO has kindly invited all members of the working party to watch the final NDP rehearsal this Friday...
-- Not a full-fledge rehearsal; may not have fireworks and some other programme
-- You may bring camera to take all the photos that you can on this day!
etcetc) TO GET MY 5 SECONDS OF UNGLAM FAME ON 'THE EYE' OF THE NDP STAGE.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA the rehearsal was quite a... Haii ok in short, i cant believe i was so 天真. HAHAHA my goodness.
What i expected: (though now in retrospect... Omg i was unbelievably, illogically, irrationally NAIVE AND SILLY)
1) 5 hosts
2) all mass displays
3) Total Defence Displays
4) all 10 chapters
5) no parachuting, no fireworks. Ok lah, still reasonable.
WHAT HAPPENED:
1) 5 army guys holding placards of the names of the 5 hosts
2) random army guys holding placards of performers in mass displays
3) ALL PRE-RECORDED SOUNDS AND VIDEOS OF TOTAL DEFENCE DISPLAY
4) INTRODUCTION OF 10 CHAPTERS SHOWN ON 'THE EYE' + ALL PRE-RECORDED EFFECTS (It was highly disillusioning. Even slightly disappointing actually. Zzz that was something they should never have let us find out...)
5) needless to say...
I had a sense of foreboding when on my way to the Float with Liwen, i was corresponding with Marlene (got to know her at SIS, then found out she's in NDP Chapter 4) and she said they have no rehearsals today!
Then all along the way towards the Float, all the army guys were WALKING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, AWAY FROM THE FLOAT AND TOWARDS CITY HALL MRT HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Haii.
But the amazing change of event was, while Liwen and i were sitting there feeling stupid and extremely cheated, and since-we-already-bought-it-and-everything started tucking into our Macs dinner, an Army guy walked past and paused,
"Are you all from Hwachong?"
We :O "Omg!"
So we started talking, and found out he was from 06A11, am involved in NDP backstage, and totally hates being so. HAHAHA! He was from canoe and found me extremely familiar... Haii. But turned out HE WAS ACTUALLY A THROWER IN HIGH SCHOOL, and joined canoe in JC. And was classmates with Haoran.
HOW SMALL IS SINGAPORE?!
-----
And on to the rest of my amazing day. And my recent amazing luck for meeting random people randomly!
On Wednesday, on my way out to meet Shanti and Liyan for lunch at Ion, i met into Zou Zhao somewhere along the streets in Jurong East. HAHAHA!! Stopped and chatted for a while, and confessed to her that i was ponning bad orientation, something which i regrettably didnt have the courage to do so last time.
Then on the train, Litian (20504!) boarded my carriage at Clementi, and we talked all the way from Clementi to Somerset where she alighted.
I HAVEN SPOKEN TO HER SINCE SEC2 OMG. Despite being in the same secondary school, and same JC. I am ashamed of myself. And after this serendipitious catching-up, i realize she's still pretty much the same person i remember her as, maybe more mellow. But ah i feel a sense of strange limbo when i think about the 4 years in between. But well nevermind what matters is here and now, and the next.
After leaving Shanti and Liyan, i went to Orchard MRT and promptly met into Yihan, NDP Blue sector leader HAHAHA. I've always found him standoffish, but actually, after going out together at the bluegreenyellow sectors outing, and now meeting and interacting again, he is very nice and easy to talk to. HAHAHA haii once again, ALWAYS THINK THE BEST OF PEOPLE COME ON!
Today. Met Carolyn and Audrey for lunch at Suntec (initially wanted Sizzler lunch but it's too extravagant arghhh) and then UP! at EW Suntec 2.30pm. To kill time before the movie, we decided to go to the arcade. And while browsing through the rows of machines, THERE WAS THIS FAMILIAR BUNNED-HAIR TURTLENECK SMALL FIGURE, AT THE JAPANESE DRUM GAME MACHINE.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PLEASE, THAT EXTREMELY DISTINCT AND ESOTERIC FEATURE - YOU CANT GET IT WRONG, RIGHT.
HAHAHAHAHA so *EAGERLY PULLS AUDREY BACK* "OMG LOOK!" *POINTSPOINTSPOINTS*
"OMGOMGOMG. IS IT HER?!"
"AND, IS THAT...?" *POINTS TO TALL, SHORT-HAIR SKINNY FIGURE NEXT TO HER*
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!"
After waiting for them to finish that particular song, HAHAHA they turned around and "Omg."
HAHAHAHA!!! Aaah shame on you if you didnt guess it. Shan2 and Ms Olivia Chee. AT THE ARCADE, PLAYING THE JAP DRUM GAME. ?!?!?!?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHA!!
Luckily we're out of school already. It's very difficult to go back to class and listen to your teacher with a straight face when you've met her in an arcade.
The movie UP! was extremely cute and aw-inducing, HAHAHA awwww. Totally, man. :):):) I dont know why i felt such a strong pull to watch this film, usually i think animation films are not worth it to watch in the theatre, but wow the irrational lure of infinitely cute characters is not to be underestimated. I would recommend it, but prob only for student rate tickets lah, haha! Nice feel-good show, though. :D
After leaving the theatre, while walking along the 3rd level of Suntec, SUDDENLY, A VERILY FAMILIAR PIANO INTRO WAS PLAYING OVER THE SPEAKERS.
Audrey and i stopped in our tracks immediately, and "Omg do you hear that?!"
Unbelievably, it was 追.
And, IT WAS THE CANTO VERSION OMGGGGGGGGGG. HAHAHAHAHA LESLIE CHEUNG. IMO, HIS BEST SONG EVER, PLAYING OVER THE SPEAKERS IN A RANDOM SHOP IN SUNTEC THIS AFTERNOON. OMG!!!
Then walked with Audrey and Carolyn to City Hall MRT, and while walking back along City Link Mall to Marina Square to meet NDP G2 people, i met into Wanling and her friend Angela. HAHAHAHA WHAT WERE THE CHANCES, MAN. Omg. Suntec and Marina... arent exactly the most in-the-way, nor good-bargains shopping malls around. Hahaha!! Amazing fate. :)
Then blahblahblah, NDP Extremely Sad and Stupid Story up there.
So after finishing our Macs dinner, yes it was like a picnic dinner on the Marina Floating Platform + finding long-lost HC senior reunion, Liwen and i left and stopped by Esplanade library before heading for the MRT. I went down to Lakeside and tried in vain to contact Zexin and Carissa to ask how to meet them for the NY Throwers gathering at Ms Yeo PL's house (which, actually i do know where and how to get there, because coincidentally her auntie is my mother's friend HAHA and the topic of hey-my-niece-is-teaching-PE-in-NY! hey-my-daughter-was-from-NY! came up)
While calling, i went to buy the Mr Bean's $2 NDP edition white soya bean milk + red pearls, and turned around and saw Elaine and her friend (aah sorry i dunno her name) sitting at Lakeside MRT chatting.
OH MY TIEN. HOW COINCIDENTAL IS THIS. AND HOW MANY TIMES IN A DAY!? :O HAHAHAA!!
So joined/crashed/imposed on them while i continued calling and finally got through to Yinghui.
The NY throwers gathering was pretty uneventful, except it was um a really weird gathering actually. HAHAHA it was supposed to be an appreciation for NY AYG volunteers, that's why spearheaded and venue-volunteered by Ms Yeo, but apparently the turnout for AYG volunteers were too low so last min merged with a NY track-throws gathering. And HM last min we (the super senior batch) got invited. So it was a nice get-to-know-random-NY-juniors session, haha coz the volunteers were from BEL and guides.

Ok this turned out longer than i expected.
And i habitually returned to write in diaryland afterall. Hahaha alright man, 原來早不缺少~~ Woo-oh~~
Good night all.
