For the first time in the past 2 months, i had Saturday morning free to do SWU, BUT it was raining and lessons got cancelled! I woke up at 8am, smsed Danny and then called Jerald, and went back to sleep again at 8.10am (secretly feeling quite happy) and woke up again 2h later.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA sloth is so much more appealing.

Yesterday night left SIS at almost 11pm after the AYG Appreciation Dinner. Dunno how many of the general public knows about this, but after the starting ~1h of awards presentation, speeches by VIP like Mr Teo Chee Hien (HAHAHA him + Ng Ser Miang walked past a few times in front of me at the Premier Entrance!!) then there was a 2h long concert by Stephanie Sun.

The audience yesterday were mostly secondary school kids who volunteered for AYG, Sports Council people, and then the really VIP people (i totally dunno who they are, but there was a guy who looked like Clubmed Andre Agassi HAHAHAHAHAHA AIYAH I FORGOT TO POINT OUT TO SIRUI!!!!) so = got Ang Mohs + Malays + Indians or generally, NON-CHINESE.

And Steph Sun is a Mandarin singer.

Haii i dont really know how to express this, but there was just something nagging at the back of my mind that this isnt really right... It's like some cheapo definitely killing-2-birds-with-1-stone way of rehearsing for her sold-out (during debrief we were told that her concert tonight is more than full house) concert tonight. And like Sirui said, it was rather insensitive to all the non-Chinese, when this event by name is supposed to be the AYG Appreciation Night, which i think should include all races. Zzz but anyway it was really like her concert, and she even got a special guest (ok dunno if that was just for AYG or if it'll be him again tonight) Nathan Hartono. I managed to watch a bit of his performance and i thought his stage looked a bit bare, but well you cant really perform Moondance with flashing lights and pyrotechnics etc.

HAII anyway my vocation yesterday was Premier Entrance Ticket Collector, which i thought would be quite good to spot stars & famous people. HAHAHA the first "star" we met was (OMG HAHAH I CANT BELIEVE I FOUND HIM ON THE MEDIACORP WEBSITE, HAHAHA it was a long shot) Uncle Liang Tian HAHAHAHAHA!! We have thermal scanning stations set up at all the entrances, and he came through grumbling to his wife, "政府不是说不用了meh?" then she muttered back "Haiyah 没有 lah, 没有! *prods him to walk faster*" HAHAHAHAHA DAMN CUTEEEEEEE. And his voice was really distinct.

Then met other people like
Cruz Teng (Ding Zhi Yong) [AND AFTERWARDS, I SAW HIM TAKING A SMOKE BREAK... -__- HAII so disappointing], and Peter Chen Bi De the Campus Superstar judge [he was quite tall! At least 1.8m] I heard that Chen Jie Yi and Lin Xiang Ping were around too, but they were sitting upstairs.

OH YAH AND I TRIPPED LEE WUNG YEW'S TICKET :D:D:D And wow he is really tall!

And after the initial crowd rush, there was nothing much left to do.

Oh yah there was a dinner reception for VIPs, but it turned out that there was so much leftovers that whole trays of food were not even unwrapped and still stacked on the table, so we moved all the food into Usher Room and throughout the concert, took turns to go in to have our dinner. HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA good food, free food, VERY good... And at the end of the event there were leftover goodie bags so we got an AYG goodie bag each too!

Something funny that happened - an exchange between the security guy Darren stationed at Premier Entrance with us & random man who wanted to come in to use SIS toilet (actually he looked like a parent who was waiting to pick up his kid probably a volunteer)
Man: Hey, got toilet inside? Can let me use?
Security: Sorry sir, the toilet inside is not open to public, you will have to go to the other toilet over there *gives directions*
Man: So far! *grumbles a few more lines*
Man: Then i just urine at the bushes lah! And dirty the place! *throws up hands angrily and leaves*
Security: *turns to me* Siao, then i catch you lah!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA omg it was damn funny at that point in time. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!

Ah well, ok i'm off soon, NDP WITH RULANG PRIMARY TODAY!!!! YAY!! I hope all goes well!
