Haii what an eventful end of the week at work. Though i only worked a grand total of 2 days in MMI for this week HURHUR considering Monday's EcoTravel, Wednesday's NASS and tomorrow's infinitely Good Friday.

Today at 6pm, got called up to Boss's office for kena-ing session. Long story. And i realized it's kinda awkward for me to write extensively about the details coz well yah it's not nice to publish this sort of things.

Haii. First, the boss called downstairs, and i was surprised i was one of the 2 called up to meet her.
Ok i used to think it's quite cool to go for meetings/meet-the-boss coz it makes me feel important and significant like i have something to contribute/i am needed for something. But anyway now i've learnt that that was damn stupid of me.

So the background story was that i was tasked to do this copywriting for a cover letter. And Person #1 who asked me to do it, doesnt seem very sure of detailed instructions to give me, and kept referring to Person #2 too. So i directly talked to Person #2, who told me This This This. So i did it. Then i went and got Person #3 to help proofread, who then told me That That That. So i changed This to That, did up v2 and sent to Person #1. And the SOP around in office is any official documents going out bearing the name of the company, will have to be approved by the Boss. So Person #1 sent to her, and i dunno if she was seething since yesterday and i also wasnt around in office (HAII continuity?) and it was only today at the end of the day that this got brought up again.

And since i was the idiot who produced that letter, i got embroiled in this issue. Actually on one hand it's quite cool to think that people from the other side of the world are receiving emails/letters from MMI that are actually crafted by me, The Extremely Moronic Person, but on the other hand, it's a weird situation if a company's official correspondence is handled by a TEMP.

Anyway so Person #1 and i went up first. Then got chided for about 10min - admittedly it was my fault for not clarifying fully when i wasnt sure, and just went ahead to ASSUME (and made an ass out of u and me) that's what they want and did it.
Then actually me being TEMP and Person #1 being him, we were forgiven on the basis of pure ignorance and idiocy and then Person #1 was told to go downstairs to drag Persons #2 and #3 up. When he left, i was also getting up from the chair and saying hesitantly "Ok i should go too, right..." and Boss shot back "NO YOU SIT DOWN, wait for the 2 of them to come up, i want to scold both of them," and i was inwardly flailing "Omg not in front of me please......"

So in front of me she did and can you imagine that awkward situation. I was trying to be as invisible as i can but the damned chair i was on was damn squeaky so i was perched rigidly on my seat throughout. But i must say, the scene of the Boss berating the 3 men was really, wah man awe-inspiring. Hurhur that sounds rather feminist of me. Ok to justify the situation, it wasnt an ugly scene, but more of um an agitated, loud and harsh way of trashing things out. It was meant to forcibly put things straight, and i think that was achieved.

But i still dont understand why i was made to sit there to see that. Urgh.

But a few things which i was inwardly cheering for
1) If you dunno what's going on, dont anyhow give instructions.
2) Think logically and reasonably. If something seems stupid to you, dont do it.
3) Actually my original assumption was semi-correct. Then halfway got waylaid and became totally-wrong. Sian ji pua.
4) The importance of communication. And it's a 2 way thing, listening and speaking are equally important. Which was i said some time ago, but at that time i suppose no one listened.

Anyway in the end dragged until about 6.45pm and i only left office at about 7pm. Zzz why are the temps leaving later than perm staff!! :O Haii but anyway Monday will have quite some disaster-relief to do. HAIII this morning when i came into office, i was informed by Alex about some unpleasant changes in manpower arrangement. ARGHHHHHH. :( Ok i must and will persevere, and hopefully improve things.

Here's a picture of Liyan's Pinky and The NTU Stress-ball Brain.

ARGH STRESSSSSSSSSSSS. Ah i realized that picture was taken at our old seats.

AH OK NOW I KNOW WHY. IT MUST BE BECAUSE OUR GOOD FENGSHUI WAS DISRUPTED BY THE NEW SEATING PLAN, THAT'S WHY SO SUAY AND NOT SMOOTH-SAILING NOWADAYS. DAMN IT...

It has never occurred before and it will never be repeated. At midnight it will end, quietly, suddenly, totally. Forever.
