a borderless youth
10:20 p.m. @ Monday, Apr. 06, 2009

After a whole day of sitting in the wave pool at the CCK swimming complex, i still feel the phantom bobbing.

Today i went for the Youth Without Borders Arena Round (? dunno what it's called) but unfortunately eventually we came in 5th among 6 teams. :( Damn it i feel quite guilty coz hurhur as Malik pointed out, we scored the highest for the first round, then it went downhill from there. And i only participated in the last 2 games. Haii. :( Sorry man.

The games were rather fun, like those that you see on TV and yes we're gonna be on TV. Though on the most obscure channel HAHAHA coz i have never heard of it before?! Oops. Apparently it's on Mio (ok imo, Mio is totally obscure) and SCV's Starsports? HAHAHAHA okok i know Starsports.

Anyway most of the time was spent waiting for other teams and waiting for our turn, so there were 6 teams today and we went through 5 challenges, though the very 1st one was a rather crappy Everybody Jump And Try To Catch The Voucher That The Host Is Throwing Out which was completed in about 10s. But overall it was better than what i expected, coz i was initially a bit weary that it would be a very long and tiring day but in the end it turned out to be so relaxed and fun.

So spent most of the waiting time chatting with people, like Malik whom i just got to know today (who btw, is in the same team HAHAHAHA so yah recently i've learnt that it works just as well if you "get into the team, before getting to know the team") and Weiping and Pong and Cindy. Then i also found a friend, whom i've actually met at Nats last year and competed alongside with. Hurhur damn paiseh, i didnt recognize her, but she came up and initiated conversation with me when we first came and she recognized me.

Wow i'm famous! :D

Anyway she was an AC thrower who got 6th position for Jav last year! HAHAHA that means 1 position ahead of Carolyn. Ah very interesting, how things came full circle again. Meeting her (oh yah her name is Grace. She was also like a softballer-part-time-Track-and-Field) in CCK stadium, though technically today we were in the swimming pool (this is the first time i've gone into the CCK swimming pool btw) but close enough. And, Nats are starting next week. So we also talked about if we're coming down to support juniors etc, and if yes hopefully we can meet at the stadium again.

What a nice person. And it is so heartening to meet such people.

Ok going to sleep soon. Quite looking forward to returning to office tomorrow. Took leave from MMI today HAHAHA oops BUT AH, actually when we take leave, it's at our own expense! Which makes me feel stupid when i feel guilty that i'm taking leave. So while there's this logical justified You-Take-Leave-You-Dont-Work-You're-Not-Paid, but there's also this unspoken rule about Wah-Lau-How-Can-Just-Anyhowly-Take-Leave-Liddat...-Dua-Pai-Lor aiyah i dunno how to put it across but hopefully you know what i mean.

In the Corporate Email parlance,
Please advise accordingly. :S

It has never occurred before and it will never be repeated. At midnight it will end, quietly, suddenly, totally. Forever.
But the hours between now and then are opportunities with eternal possibilities."
