A snippet of conversation during lunch with SWU people today -
Jayce: *talking about her application to UOL and having to write a 100-word essay about why she wants the course*
Me: Wah 100-word quite ok mah. Actually now all uni applications need to write essays one...
Jerald: Izzit?!
Jerald: That's why i didnt go. :)
HAHAHAHAHAHA?! So today i found out that he was from SIM. But i also think he pretty much spent his youth playing professional inline hockey. I think. And as i look at him now, i think he is as successful and happy as can be. :) And that is most important, right.
Actually this morning as usual i went down to Bukit Batok, but he told me that i am going to Jurong Point. So he drove me down (yes in the SWU Van which smells like Smelly Gears & Skates HAHAHAHA) and as we talked, i was rather surprised and impressed that he remembered what i told him about My Awkward Fired/Unfired/Un-unfired Situation at MMI. (To him, it was just referred to as My This Other Admin Job)
Hurhur actually sometimes, it's good to talk to a not-so-close person/friend/acquaintance, and you find that you can discuss some personal problems objectively and impersonally. It's quite true right.
ANYWAY AH. HAIIII along the way, Jerald asked me about my new skates and he said "So, you got them at the warehouse sale ah?" can you imagine my face when i asked him "WHAT WAREHOUSE SALE?!?!?! :O:O:O" Zomg biang eh... Apparently Skateline had some warehouse sale, ok i just googled, click me DAMN IT... Ok so yesterday definitely wasnt a lucky-i-saw-it-at-Westmall! SHIT!!! :(:(:( I think if i go to any Skateline store today, i might still be able to get some good deals. Anyway, whoa ok Skateline is on Twitter hurhur OK I AM SO FOLLOWING YOU. But still... ;_; Haiii....
Anyway, so today i went down to the Jurong Point location (actually, it's at the HDB blocks near JP) and my student was this 15-year-old girl, and believe or not, when i first saw her, there was this distinctive aura/look WHICH MADE ME FEEL LIKE RESPECTING HER HAHAHA so within the next minute, we established "OH FELLOW NANYANG GIRL :)" Haha her name is Christie Chan, and she knows Dorcas HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
The lesson was quite fun, she is quite pro, so actually i was a bit scared that i didnt have enough to teach her. And of course, along the way we were talking about teachers and random NY stuff. Hurhur how coincidental. I might have just passed her before/after morning assembly on Tuesday, and we attended the same morning assembly. :D Amazing.
And today i also got to know a new trainee called Winona, who grew up in US and came to Singapore at age 11, is currently waiting to enter poly to do Film Sound and Design (is that the course name? Something like that) and will be going back to US after getting her diploma. Her parents are from HK, she speaks better Cantonese than Mandarin, and her purpose for her 8-year stint in Singapore is to pick up Chinese/Mandarin. And Jerald just suggested that her parents should just dump her in China HAHAHAHAHAHA?!
Anyway her English accent just reminds me of Sandra so much HAHAHAHAHA she's like the 18-year-old verily excitable and verbose version of Sandra. So she lives in Queenstown and when she said she will be going down to Tampines/Sengkang/The East Side to do more sessions tomorrow, i got a rather big reaction
Me: OMG you're going down tomorrow?! :O
Winona: Why arent you going too? :)
Me: :S *sheepishly at Jerald* Okok i know i am completing my sessions very slowly coz i lazy to go down to east side... SORRY SORRY SORRY!
Jerald: Aiyah, she *claps my shoulder* is a very busy person... So nevermind. She has been doing for 3 months you know.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WAH LAU EH. :(
Anyway ok going off soon. Just received an SMS from Winona who went down to Pennisula Plaza at Skateline and got a pair of K2 aluminum frame at $150 OMGGGGGGGGGGG ;_; i am damn sad.
AAaaaAAAAaaaaaAAAhhhhHhhHhHHhHh. Dowan dowan dowan...
