HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA i knew something was amiss when i received the previous email (i tried to retrieve the previous email from my trash, but i realized they have replaced the image in their database or something); In place of the "FREE PETS' STATION WATER BOTTLE" in that advertisement, they were giving out "FREE HAMSTER" (with minimum spending of $25 blahblah).

I am not kidding.

Though i must say, it was incredibly funny. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!?
I wished i took a screenshot. They even put a cute picture of a hamster gnawing on a sunflower seed. WHAT THE HELL, MAN.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA the idiot who did the ad is so royally screwed.
But this also makes me wonder about,
1) there is a problem with the first person in the Human Stupidity Chain Reaction to come up with the idea of giving away live hamsters as free gifts
2) there is a problem with the graphics designer who did the advertisement (and not realize there is a serious fundamental error)
3) there is a problem with the IT person who put it on the web, and subsequently email-blasted everyone on the mailing list

Though, there is the possibility that 1, 2 and 3 are the same person.

Anyway. Yes, i am a PAssion Card member. Applied when i signed up for guitar class. It's quite good Econs sense for them/maybe me, that the difference between Member and Non-Member price for classes is $10, and the 3-year membership fee for PAssion card is also $10. So i have nothing to lose by signing up. And i even get funny emails like those offering free hamsters with min spending.

Hurhur i am still waiting for my coolios wave-shaped PAssion card to arrive, woohoo.

OMG i'm watching the news now and it's about the IT fair at Suntec and they just featured the Sony Dancing-MP3 thingy, and it was dancing to Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend". Wow i would definitely like to see how that Sony Dancing-MP3 Thing would dance to Leslie Cheung's 无心睡眠 hurhur. :D

Anyway. Moment of The Day.

Went out for Wanton Mee for lunch with Patrick and Alex today (Dalong on 3 day leave, TO PAINT HIS HOUSE?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA?!?!) and Patrick is the first person i meet who is as interested in other people's handphones as myself. :D

So he very self-initiated-ly picked up Liyan's phone from the table and started sliding it (she has the Samsung U700) happily while saying "Korean phone! Korean phone!" and then he said "Let me see your Japan phone!" and plucked my phone from my hand, when i was just holding it while lagging in replying an SMS. HAHAHAHAHA i was momentarily stunned. But my screen was black (hence, i mean i was lagging in replying, not the phone) and he was just like admiring the physical body of the phone, so i took it back politely to exit the message screen, and when i passed it to him, it was at my wallpaper page and my wallpaper is that half-of-Hugh-Laurie's-face in a House promo shot.

And Patrick immediately said "EH, HOUSE!!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG I COULD HAVE KISSED HIM :D:D:D

I think i did have a rather big reaction. I think i yelped. HAHAHA and in my excitement, i was (in retrospect, rather rudely-) pointing my finger at him "OMG YOU KNOW HOUSE YOU KNOW HOUSE??!! !!!!!!!!!"

But it turned out he only watched random episodes here and there and i forgot to ask him where he watch them from. I shall ask him next time. But he did say that it's difficult for him to follow, coz of the complex medical terms and the English subtitles arent very helpful for him hurhur. Actually i wonder if he appreciates that Hugh Laurie the Englishman through-and-through is putting on a near-perfect American accent as House. Haha!

Talking about this reminds me about something about Jerald, which i didnt get to post, long ago. At Skating 2 weeks ago, i stayed around with Everyone for lunch, in between the morning and afternoon sessions. Haha it's the first time i "socially-interacted" with them, and they are all great people, quite different from the crowd that i've been with for the past 2 years. A refreshing change. And also, i suppose it's also because i see them only once a week, and make me look forward to seeing them again one week later.

Since the first time i met Jerald, he made a very deep impression because he's a person whose character and personality are so overwhelming and imposing, and while it is scary at times, it's also very intriguing and i find that i gravitate towards people with strong characters. HAHAHAHAHAHA OKOK I KNOW IT SOUNDS WEIRD-FUNNY. Like Kuo. BUT OKOK am i making it worse, for myself? Hurhur.

ANYWAY. So i found out that, he's also a Middle-Aged Adult Chinese Man, Who Is Inept In Chinese/Mandarin. Hahaha this was particularly surprising and disconcerting for me, coz in a relatively short window of time of one month, he makes the 2nd person, the 1st being Alex.

For Alex, he can speak and understand, but cannot read the characters nor read hypy. Ref: zen mee reply tar men? HAHAHAHAHAHA ZEN ME ZEN YOU.
For Jerald, he also can speak, and he can read Chinese characters, but sometimes, he cannot understand when he hears Mandarin. HAHAHAHA?! Wow man. Quite amazing. Not Awe-inspiring Amazing, but nonetheless how-could-it-...? Amazing, haha! He was saying that for example, when he hears the news, and he used the word "避孕" as eg - when he hears it bi4 yun4, he doesnt know what it is. But if he sees the character, then he understands. WAH. WHAT SORT OF... LIMBIC/MENTAL/INTELLECTUAL PATTERN/ACTIVITY IS THIS?! HAHAHAHAHAHAA wow wow.

ANYWAY. OK THE MAIN POINT IS. House. Haha, House makes the world go round :D Jayce, a 20-sessions-completed-certified instructor (she's about 23 this year? Very nice and enthu person) was browsing my iPod coz she wanted to get an iTouch as well, so i was letting her look through mine, and i was explaining (with quite some pride, but i guess how much it means to me, was a bit lost on her) my House-icons-collage-screensaver is my favourite English drama.

Me: It's House! :D Do you watch House??
Jayce: Eh...
Me: It's an English Medical Drama one... :)
Jayce: What's the Chinese title?
Jerald: 屋子!!!
Jerald: I KNOW HOUSE IN CHINESE IS 屋子, RIGHT?! :D Not bad ah. :D:D
Me: :O:O:O
Jayce: *LAUGHING LIKE MAD*
Me: *哭笑不得*
