OMGGGG just finished Season 3. Haha i actually stretched the last 3 episodes for almost... a month??
And i just watched all the bonus material AND OMG THEY ARE DAMN GOOD HAAHHAHAHA. How come nobody posted them on Youtube or something! Ok sorry i cant post either coz i dont have a DVD drive on this pok sai comp. But anyway, i watched all, and one of my favourite is the one where they did an intro on the props department!
AND THE GUY SHOWED ALL THE FAKE GUTS AND EMPTY TORSO CAVITY, AND ALL THE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT. DAMN COOL.
So turned out that they will fill that "template" empty cavity with the necessary organs, fill it with fake blood + bodily fluids, then put a piece of fake skin over, and the whole thing is placed on the actor, and they will use a real scalpel to cut through the fake skin to pull the fake organs out. But in those complicated operating scenes, it's quite hard to tell that the patient's body is doubly thick. Hurhur next time can watch out for it.
And, they also have special scalpel and syringes, HAHAHAHA somehow these remind me of those practical joke-thingys. The scalpel has a squeezable handle where fake blood is stored, so when the scalpel is used to "cut" the patient, the handle is squeezed and the blood flows out, DAMN REALISTIC!!! The fake syringe, has a retractable tip, kinda like those fake daggers/knives thing which retract on impact, so when the syringe is used to "draw blood", HMM ok i have yet to figure out how the blood appears, but anyway the tip will retract, making it look like it was really inserted into the arm, and when the plunger is pulled, somehow the syringe just fills with blood-like liquid.
The last episode of Season 3 wasnt as good as Season 2, imo. Hm. But i was damn impressed with the starting scene. Actually i think all the starting/showing the situation leading up to the patient's admittance into Princeton-Plainsboro all seem more high-budget than the actual drama itself. The last ep of S3 started with a rescue mission on sea, rescuing a shipwrecked Cuban couple, and they had the whole works - helicopter, stormy waters, rescue guy hanging from cable suspended from the helicopter, Cuban guy flailing in the sea but refusing to let go of this suitcase, so the Rescue Guy actually kinda pushed his head under water to make him let go. When he was finally safely hoisted onto the helicopter, it turned out that the suitcase contained his wife's medical records, and the climax of this prologue was when he burst out "HOUSE! We need to find Dr House,"
DAMN COOL. :)
Ok i shall start S4 now.
