OMGGG just checked my email and to my chagrin, i found an email from Mr Tan WS, ADDRESSED DIRECTLY TO ME BY NAME, to tell me to pay up my library fines.
WAH LAU EH!!! I PAID LIAO LOR! :O:O:O In fact i remembered i did it last year during the A levels period, AND SHIT i remembered i was with SOMEONE, but now i cannot remember WHO. CALLING FOR WITNESS TO MY DEFENSE! HELP.
Shit it. :( So i replied him in my most maligned tone and assured him that i have most definitely paid up (i still remember i paid up $1)OMG I HAVE THE RECEIPT.

Just came home from the MMI Dinner. :) Hahaha saw old acquaintances like Auntie Lily and QQ again (ARGH! Should have taken a photo with Auntie Lily!!) and Sylvia Liyan and i being the youngest few, sitting at the same table as all of them, there were about 16 of us + extended employees who dont work in office... It was a pretty strange and exciting feeling. Having "company dinner", with my "colleagues". Like all so grown-up and adult, and i am entering into the Adult's World - It's a different place from where i've been for the past 18 years.
Though there were childish things like,
Alex stealing a plaque from Patrick's bag (Patrick went down to Queensway to collect it, before rushing to dinner) and STILL BOTHERING TO REPLACE THE EMPTY BOX IN HIS BAG, then he passed the plaque to Dalong and when Patrick came back, Alex the Damned Good Actor started convo very naturally "So, you know the plaque very important ah, tomorrow need to use for the presentation right. In your bag ah? Ok good. Sure ah??" Then Patrick realized and as predicted, started PANICKING. But he also know he was being pranked. Eventually Sylvia Liyan and i decided to betray Dalong by simultaneously pointing at him.
Poor Patrick!
I sat between Liyan and Mr Ng WHICH WAS A DAMN FUNNY ARRANGEMENT?! Coz it's like, i was separating the father and daughter. THEN, he had to feed her in front of me HAHAHAHA LIKE WTH. And lucky me, i got to sit opposite Dalong.
And actually now i feel i like him more, relative to IEEM. But we are of completely different wavelengths. Cannot get. Means cannot get.
Dalong: Are you on facebook?
Me: Yeah i am.
Dalong: But you're on a chair.
DID YOU GET THAT?! I totally didnt, and stared at him for half a minute. Until Liyan explained it.
Anyway the food at Carousel at Royal Plaza was REALLY REALLY GOOD. OMGGGGG the buffet damn worth. This is prob the buffet with the largest spread i've ever seen. And i've tried a bit of everything (HOW ELSE DO YOU ENJOY A BUFFET?? :) ) except the Salad Bar and the Chinese food section. Hm Chinese food is best appreciated with family and on big plates for sharing in the middle of the table? Anyway the desserts were good AND WOW REAL CREME BRULEE IS DAMN GOOD. But it was scarily sweet so i only ate 1. But still very nice.
Food was good, company was interesting, and it was pretty amazing to sit down at the same table, having a good dinner, with a bunch of people i've known for what, 3 weeks??
I actually asked Dalong about gelling his hair and he said he only gels when he needs to meet client, and i said HMMM natural is better... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Auntie Lily was talking about her current admin work at ISS and how she sees cute Angmoh kids and Korean boys.
Mr Ng was complaining that he's working harder than when he was at NTU.
Then i found out that Zaiyi the very zai IT Programmer/Consultant whose name that i always hear but never see the person before, until today, has just completed her PhD in Computer Engineering. OMG. And she's like young and cute. HAHAHAHAHA she gives me Shan2 vibes. Like when she talks she bobs around and smiles to herself and makes astute observations.
QQ seems to be enjoying the food more than the conversation with Dalong, who's sitting beside him. HAHAHAHA!! Ok to be honest Dalong isnt that bad, lah.
Then i see Edward, another person whose name i hear but never see the person before, and he's also some IT guy and whoa, he totally dont look like. In fact he has those wandering musician, Bohemian kinda look. Complete with a short ponytail. HAHAHA DAMN COOL.
Patrick was being himself and blur and bullied by Alex.
Alex was being himself and busily entertaining the 3 ladies sitting around him, Stella (this one is i totally dunno one) Zi and Nina.
Zi and Nina came up behind me when i was at the fondue fountain and tapped my left arm but stood to my right. HURHUR. They are Really Nice People and i hope i get colleagues like them (and, i hope i'll be like them to my colleagues) in future.
On the surface everything looks good and well. :)
Haii there was a mini storm brewing in a teacup involving An Angry Steward, A Diplomatic Accountant and A Clueless Harmless Persistent Korean Boy this morning. :S
Anyway fun fact: We (7 people in office) all took The Ngs car to dinner, and actually Liyan and i were all prepared to take the last row since by seniority (ie youngest so take the backseat/dogseat/most uncomfortable/cramped) and also by size (ie, smallest), BUT HAHAHAHA surprisingly Alex and Dalong The 2 Gentlemen Of The Office chionged for the backseat so Liyan Zi and i got to sit comfortably and spaciously at the middle compartment.
Hurhur sometimes such things also dunno how to react. While we are the youngest around, but actually at 19, we are not like children-young, and when we know we should give way to people our senior, but they are being suave and all oh-young-ladies-please-do-go-ahead and etc. THEN HOW?!
OK I AM DIGRESSING TOO MUCH.
One more thing.
On my walk home from the MRT, i encountered this young lady jogging (looks like 20+? Should be working adult kind. No student in their right mind would go jogging at 11pm on a Thursday night) and she was wearing an old JJC shirt, and as she passed me i could hear her panting and breathing heavily and then coughing, THEN THE MOST SHOCKING THING - about 3m ahead of me, she HAUARGRH AND SPAT ON THE GRASS BESIDE THE PAVEMENT.
I was stunned.
