soul crushing students + Sentosa Cove + funny emails
9:10 p.m. @ Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009

Bad day at Ngee Ann again. Shit it man. After every Wednesday 1.30pm, i lose all resolve to become a teacher.

Today i realized my Troublemaker Girl #1 is not here again. I wonder if she crashed the lesson 2 weeks ago, or if she's ponning all lessons from now onwards. But at least, today only 3 people didnt bring their books. I wonder if it was due to my constant nagging for the past 2 lessons, or if it was because of some teacher's intervention, before my lesson.

Shouted myself hoarse (and wished i could just ride it away into the wind) again, though i thought i was feeling stronger than last week. Both physically and mentally. But personally i think i was much louder than last week, so probably it justifies the hoarseness. Have you ever shouted until there's this strange head-in-a-bubble feeling? I got it briefly today.

Haii i think Wanling feels damn :S with me and my defeated soul after every Wednesday. SORRY FOR DIFFUSING ALL THOSE NEGATIVE VIBES :( But thanks very much for all the consolation/encouragement over lunch every week.

And today, on impulse i went down to Sentosa Cove with her and zomgg it's really, DA KAI YAN JIE. Sentosa Cove - The world's most desirable address.

How about Sentosa Cove - The place Singaporeans wont believe it exists in Singapore.

It's really, super duper chao ji wu di... unbelievable. I cant even put it in words. Actually i took some pics but i'm lazy to upload, esp on this lousy laggy comp. But anyway. I think you must see it for yourself.

1) they dont have gates. Like, those metal, remote-controlled gates. Not even those little hedges thingy like in Desperate Housewives or something. It's just a length of pavement, from the main road, then got this structure/small block for their house number + mailbox, and then it's the main door
2) All the houses give a similar thematic feeling, but all have unique design. And, LOTS OF GLASS. Which is kinda, funny, because it means privacy = almost zero?! We could look in clearly, from the main road.
3) LOTS OF BIKES OMGGGGGGGGG. :)
4) quoting Wanling, "Front porch sports car, backyard SPEEDBOAT".
The layout of Sentosa Cove is like, a strip of land on the side of Sentosa island, sorta like the ear of a cup? So on that strip, there's a row of houses with their backyards to the big sea, and a row of houses with their backyards to this lake that is enclosed by the strip of land against the Sentosa island. So in that lake, you can see the mini jetty behind each house, AND A SPEEDBOAT PARKED AT ALMOST EVERY ONE. Biang eh...
THERE ARE KIDS STARVING IN AFRICA!??!?!
5) I saw quite a lot of around-the-sides-of-the-house moat-swimming-pools sorta thing. VERY NICE. Like, the sliding glass door of their living room opens right to the pool kind?! WAH MAN...
6) Be CONSTRUCTION WORKER also be one that works at Sentosa Cove.
7) Be DOG also be one that lives at Sentosa Cove. Haii.

You wont believe it's Singapore.

So we took the 4pm bus in to Sentosa, and took a walk around Sentosa Cove and sat at this pavilion to enjoy the sea breeze and talk about Life and starving kids in Africa, before Wanling went for her tuition class at 5pm and then i took the 5pm shuttle bus back. Reached Vivo at about 5.15pm and went to search for Pet Safari.

Wah lau the name is so misleading. The shop is rather small, and then i realized it's part of Pet Lovers Centre? Anyway the people were damn dao and fierce, one woman barked (HAHA PUN) at this couple who were taking photos of a dog, coz photography isnt allowed. They seem to have only puppies there, but ok the puppies were damn cute. And it's the first time i'm seeing so many puppies (about 8?) and THEY ARE ALL DAMN SMALL. Actually i dont like small dogs. I wanted to see guinea pigs but unfortunately they dont seem to have and i didnt want to ask.

Took 97 back and slept all the way to Jurong East. Never knew there was bus service hahaha but efficiency-wise, taking train would save half the time. But it's been a long time since i've had a long satisfying sleep on the bus so it was good.

I was just checking my mail and JERALD (skating guy) SENDS THE FUNNIEST EMAILS.

"YOU MUST EMAIL ME YOUR AVAILABILITY BEFORE WEDNESDAY SO THAT I CAN PLAN FOR THE WEEKEND. IT”S DIFFICULT IF MAJORITY OF YOU (WHICH IS THE CASE) DOESN”T REPLY.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS AND YOU DON”T KNOW WHAT TO DO. ALWAYS CALL ME!"
I quoted only parts of the email. The entire thing was in caps. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA whoa pissed.

"It’s upsetting that most of the regular instructors are not replying emails."
Short email, and all in regular caps. HAHAHAHAHHA so, guilt-trip-ish.

Hey I'm a regular trainee who regularly replies his emails lor!! Gimme some credit please.

It has never occurred before and it will never be repeated. At midnight it will end, quietly, suddenly, totally. Forever.
But the hours between now and then are opportunities with eternal possibilities."
