Phew.

Wanted to post about Ubin yesterday, but my lousy shit comp was lagging so badly i couldnt even shut down properly. I was so pissed and tired so for the good of my health (and the bad of my computer) i did the press-and-hold-power-button shut down and went to sleep.

Work today was rather frustrating and i also didnt get enough slack time to post about Ubin. Ok except for the little cute intermission about Grapes in my last entry, the rest of the day was boring. Ok i was rather pissed in the morning, after being caught in the crossfire of conflicting instructions, and i am the final person and input of labour to carry out those instructions. Damn it.

The afternoon was spent mucking around in shitty sites and very tediously and tumultuously searching for Commonwealth Polytechnics. (I just dictionary.com-ed "tumultuously" to check if it's apt and WHOA, VERILY.
"3. highly agitated, as the mind or emotions; distraught; turbulent." I was definitely highly agitated and distraught grr.) There's a diff from polytechnics and universities, and if the name of the institute is a "Polytechnic and University", it is not relevant.

The pissifying morning was mainly because 2 weeks after completing that Top 200 Unis list, this morning i was asked to go through it again to finetune. FOR LIKE, THE 5TH TIME!? The stupidest thing was, ALL THE EFFORTS COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED AND PUT TO MORE PRODUCTIVE THINGS, IF INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR FROM THE START. And i could have done all those "finetuning" while in the midst of compiling the list. Zzz. Then now i feel damn maligned because apparently they were waiting for this list before the next thing could be done.

Ok -am done with complaining about work-

I also suspect i'm PMS-ing, hence the emotional imbalance.
And also, i partly blame the hot weather.
And the 2nd hand smoke of Alex + Dalong.

Ah today i made a little serendipitous advancement in my Anti-Smoking Campagin, serendipitous because it was totally unplanned and i said it impulsively.
Liyan and i bought ice-cream (those on-the-stick kind, from 7-11) and kept them in the pantry fridge, so we were eating them after work today. Dalong and Alex definitely have to make some comment about it, and Alex was complaining that last week when we first bought the ice-cream (though at that time, he didnt know we had bought) he came to talk to us first, and then Nina walked past and we offered her ice-cream, instead of to him, since he made the effort to come and chat with us first. HAHAHAHA?!

ANYWAY. Ok my Anti-Smoking Campaign Motion #1, i offered to buy a box of ice-cream to put in the pantry and when they feel like smoking, they should go and have a stick of ice-cream instead. They didnt give a definite pact but amidst the hubbub Dalong said "OKAY! We eat first, then smoke later!"
