CRAZY CRAZY DAYS.
Friday:
AAH i honestly intended to go for campfire, but on Thurs afternoon Wanling called to ask if i could take over her relief lesson at the mosque to teach Conversational Chinese, so in the end i ended up relieving the relief teacher.
The lesson was really good though, and at the end of it i felt so encouraged and purposeful. It was a 2h lesson and initially i was worried about how i was going to fill the time, but when i was in the lesson, with digression like randomly teaching Time, Numbers, Price, Colours, i almost couldnt finish the actual lesson. It was an adult class, and all of them were willing to learn and i was rather amazed that they copied notes so seriously and thoroughly, and they repeat after me so loudly and earnestly, and will offer words/questions eagerly.
Lesson was supposed to start at 7.45pm, and the initial plan was:
1) Ye laoshi pick me from MMI/Serangoon Road at 6pm
2) Have dinner together
3) Brief me about the lesson, where to pick up, what should i do etc
What happened:
1) He called me at 1+pm to tell me to settle dinner myself and he will pick me at 6.30pm instead
2) So i bought cup noodles during lunch, and cooked them at 6 and ate until 6.30
3) Called him to ask if he's there
4) I KNEW IT, HE WAS GOING TO BE LATE.
5) Finally met him at about 6.50pm, and he cheerfully said let's go by Bukit Timah Road, there shouldnt be a jam right?
6) Got into the usual evening jam along Bukit Timah Road. He starts panicking. The other passenger in the car was this Chinese lady called Lin laoshi, and we just chatted randomly along the way.
7) The mosque came into sight at 7.45pm. Ye kept exclaiming "LAO TIAN BAO YOU AH!! HAHA 7.45! XIN HAO BU HUI TAI CHI!" And he brought me and super-brisk walked (i concede defeat - he was walking super duper fast, considering he has shorter strides. And he asked me to keep up.)
8) Made it into class by about 7.55pm, and i was introduced by the school i graduated from. WAH LAU EH... Actually i disagree with that way he tried to justify me as a relief teacher. It was all like "You know Hwa Chong school? It's one of the top schools in Singapore and very famous, blahblah"
Haii but anyway.
Friday at the office was a sian/slack day, coz it was the General Weekly Meeting for them for almost the whole day, so basically the Kings of the Office were me and Liyan. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
And haii in the day, i had a revelation about the sad story behind someone, and aww i feel infinitely sorry for him. :( Haii!! People are always not what they seem, yes?
Anyway reading all those entries about Campfire, hurhur i dont know if i'll really be as nostalgic, but i definitely want to see that FLAPPING WINGS THING OMGGGGG! It sounds damn cool, well done 35th! Hahaha ok i read the way i wrote "flapping wings thing" and i am reminded of that Ms Rashidah's ghost story HAHAHAHAHAHAA. Kk nevermind.
Saturday:
This morning went for skating as usual, and i'm thinking, MAYBE I SHOULD JUST BUY MY OWN GEAR FIRST, BECAUSE I REALLY CANNOT STAND THE SMELLY TO-THE-MAX-AND-BEYOND COMPANY GEAR ARGHHHHHHHHH. Really, damn smelly. :( I joined Johnny's lesson and observed how he taught A-frame but today was honestly rather boring. It was only after lessons ended that Danny/Johnny taught me Parallel Turn and Backwards Swizzle, and then Jerald told me to practise teaching Russell and JX the Trial Class.
Since after seeing how Jerald picked on JX/Nerissa/Grace, i was determined to not let him have anything to criticize about me, BUT DAMN IT i forgot small little details like emphasizing knee bend, and pointing out what edging for the wheels, and practising static moves on the spot.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA i just remembered something damn funny that Jerald said today. He was talking about dealing with kids coz this company mainly conducts kids classes, so he questioned how we should effectively conduct lessons for young kids of about 5 years old, because you know at 5 years old they dont really listen to instructions, and also wont understand. So he said,
Jerald: In my opinion lah, they are just stupid.
Me: :O *stares at him* Did you just say... they are STUPID?!
Jerald: *LAUGHS* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG!??!
Anyway after skating i went home to change and shower and went down to City Hall and met Sirui at 1pm. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT FOR THE 2ND TIME (the first time was when i met Shumin to go HC/NY and we were both EARLY) that an appointment was kept punctual. :) So walked down to Suntec together and had lunch at Food Republic with Carolyn and 3 of us went for the NTU talk together.
Took lots of brochures, went for the talks on Humanities and Social Sciences, Communication Studies and Biomedical Sciences&TCM, but am still as undecided as ever.
Hm.
Hai nevermind. I am going to sleep now. Tomorrow is an exciting day of facilitating a KIDS' TOUR AT PULAU UBIN, for Ecotravel! I hope it goes well. Kk sleeping now bb.
